Paterno looks to lose over a decade of wins. Bobby would jump to #1 if this holds.

Huge news, absolutely huge. And this HAD to happen. I mean, how could you have someone with such a shadow hanging over their tarnished legacy represent all of Division I with the football wins record? It really was a black mark, and I'm glad that the NCAA took the actions necessary to correct it.
In a way also, I feel like balanced justice was administered. I mean, as I mentioned earlier, Bobby lost an entire year's worth of wins for a couple students cheating in a class that not a single coach knew about, and when they did, they reported it immediately and took action. A whole year for that. Anything less that a loss of wins today was really going to disappoint me. The leaders (Bobby for FBS and the Grambling coach for all of D-1) need to have characters worthy of the title.

BB was always on top imo. He had 411 total wins as a head coach to JoePa's 409. The NCAA stole 12 wins for music online class bs and do not count his 22 wins at South Georgia College.

A lot of the media overlooked this, but BB now has the most Bowl wins all-time

It is going to be tough to surpass this win total in this day and age of mercenary coaches.

I agree completely. Honestly, with the new era of coaches being hired/fired so routinely and others retiring for jobs in broadcasting, I don't see it happening for a LONG time, if ever.
