Here are a couple of my quick impressions from yesterday's game (I'm sure I'll add to these later):
-I was a little worried early on with the offense starting off slow, but they really picked it up 2nd and 3rd quarters. After what I saw, I feel very comfortable that we will be able to score.
-What a difference in the O-line!!!! I know it's just Murray State, but last year we couldn't even run on Charleston Southern, so regardless it's a huge improvement. 7 rushing TD's should be a statement to the country that we're not afraid to grind it out on the ground.
-EJ's passing still did not impress me. He just seems shaky and a lot of his throws aren't tight like they should be. I'm hoping that he'll improve in that category, but I'm not expecting anything. Trickett is a much better pure passer, but of course he doesn't have near the athleticism. Luckily, if our running game stays solid, that should take off some of the pressure, as will our stellar receiving corps.
-The defense was, well, what can I say? 3 pts speaks for itself.
-This was the first time I really felt great after a scrub match. So often we let these little teams hang with us or just don't do quite enough to impress. Overall, I left this game feeling very good about the year. What about you? Let me know your thoughts!

Rashad's return for a td and Waisome's/Darby's play at corner made me feel a lot better after losing Reid. The OL DID look great. Let's see how they progress against Wake and Clemson. So far so good. EJ is a tough read. He had a good passing % despite a couple of drops by Kenny Shaw. That int was on Shaw, not EJ. JWJ is a monster. Freeman and CT looked good as well. Overall, it was good to see us put away an inferior team early and often.
